Turmeric & Crimson Zari Saree

Price on enquiry

A deep turmeric-gold body that turns almost amber where it catches the light, banded top to bottom by a crimson-pink border and finished in a broad crimson pallu. The border and pallu carry a dense gold zari brocade — paisley and floral repeats worked close together, with a heavier motif band at the pallu end.

The weave

The gold work here is supplementary-weft zari laid into a crimson ground, the construction associated with Banarasi weaving. The body is plain and lets the borders do the talking, which is the older way of setting a saree of this kind.

No Handloom Mark, Silk Mark or GI status is recorded for this piece. AHA has not confirmed one, so none is claimed.

Fabric & care
  • Dry clean only.
  • Store folded in cotton muslin, refolded along a different line every few months so the zari does not crease along one crease.
  • Keep away from direct sunlight — the crimson will fade before the gold does.
Shipping & returns

AHA has not published a shipping and returns policy yet, so none is stated here. Ask on WhatsApp and it will be confirmed before you pay.
